SB 974 - This act creates a State Highway Patrol Crime Laboratory Fund and allows the Highway Patrol to charge fees for lab tests performed on request of any law enforcement agency, official or prosecutor. Moneys collected from this fee shall be transferred into the fund. The Superintendent of the Highway Patrol may waive this fee upon a showing and written request stating that a person is unable to pay the fee.
