SJR 35 - Currently, any refund required by Article X,
Section 18 of the Missouri constitution (commonly known as part
of the Hancock Amendment) must be refunded pro rata to income tax
taxpayers. This joint resolution, if approved by the voters,
would allow, upon appropriation to the public school property tax
reduction fund, a reduction of the first $2.75 in public school
property taxes on a pro rata basis per property tax payor as
provided by law.
