To amend chapter 104, RSMo, relating to retirement, by adding one new section relating to the same subject.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 104, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 104.348, to read as follows:
104.348. Any state employee or official holding employment on August 28, 1996, who served as an elected county official, shall be entitled to creditable prior service for service rendered as an elected county official, if:
(1) The service had not become vested in a county retirement plan;
(2) The person made application to the board for such prior creditable service within ninety days of August 28, 1996; and
(3) The person establishes proof of such service to the satisfaction of the board.
