DESCRIPTION
The proposed legislation would establish maximum amounts any candidate for
the office of Governor, statewide elected office, the Senate or the House of
Representatives could have in his or her campaign fund when filing disclosure
reports. Any amount in excess would be required, within sixty days, to be
donated to an organization exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal
Revenue Code or returned to the contributors.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
