FISCAL ANALYSIS
ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Office of Administration-Division of Design and
Construction and the Department of Conservation stated this proposal would
have an unknown fiscal impact (savings) on their agency.
Officials from the Department of Corrections and the Department of
Labor-Division of Labor Standards stated that passage of this legislation
will have no fiscal impact on their department.
Officials from the Department of Economic Development, St. Louis County,
Jackson County, Cole County did not respond to our fiscal impact request.

DESCRIPTION
This act exempts any new public works project of less than $200,000, or
public works project for renovation of existing buildings with an estimated
cost of less than $100,000, from sections 290.210 through 290.340 of the
prevailing wage law.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
