DESCRIPTION
This legislation would revise the selection method for members of the
Mississippi River Parkway Commission, as well as require the directors of the
departments of conservation, agriculture and economic development, or their
designees, to serve as ex-officio members. Ex-officio members are not
mandated to attend Commission meetings. Funds of the Commission are not to
be used for the travel expenses of ex-officio members.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
