Officials from the Department of Public Safety-Peace Officers Standards and
Training Program assume the proposal would have no fiscal impact on the
department.
Officials from the Coordinating Board For Higher Education assume the

DESCRIPTION
The proposal would allow the University of Missouri to employ university
police officers. The officers would take an oath of office. The officers
would be required to take a training course for police officers as prescribed
by chapter 590, RSMo.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
