DESCRIPTION
This act merges two versions of Section 319.200, RSMo, both enacted in 1992,
relating to building design in earthquake zones. One version requires that
new buildings and alterations meet seismic design and construction provisions
of one of two nationally recognized codes. The second section applied to new
buildings and additions. This act merges these two requirements so that new
buildings as well as additions and alterations thereto would meet seismic
requirements.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
