DESCRIPTION
This proposal would expand an out-of-state peace officer's fresh pursuit
powers into Missouri to cases where the officer believed someone was driving
while intoxicated or driving with excessive blood alcohol content. Under
current law, the officer must believe that the person is committing a felony
to exercise fresh pursuit powers.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
