ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Department of Health assume this proposal would not
fiscally impact their agency.
St. Louis County officials anticipate no direct costs or fiscal impact on St.
Louis County as a result of this proposal. St. Louis officials were not able
to determine the impact on other political subdivisions or entities due to
the unknown assessed valuation and boundaries of the proposed ambulance
district.
Officials from Jackson County assume no direct fiscal impact on Jackson
County. Jackson County officials were not able to determine the impact on
other political subdivisions or entities due to the unknown assessed
valuation and boundaries of the proposed ambulance district.

DESCRIPTION
This proposal would permit counties with a population over 400,000 to create
an ambulance district pursuant to the "Ambulance District Law", Sections
190.005 to 190.085, RSMo. The proposal contains an emergency clause.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
