DESCRIPTION

The proposed legislation would revise the class of a cosmetologist from Class
A to Class CH or CA to reflect the current types eligible for licensure as an
esthetician without examination until July 1, 1997. The proposal would
increase the number of required hours of instruction for manicurists.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
