DESCRIPTION

This proposal would require that the county sheriff make registration
information of certain sex offenders available to the public for inspection
and copying. Such public access would only apply to information pertaining
to offenders who have been convicted of a crime requiring registration on or
after August 28, 1996.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
