FISCAL ANALYSIS
ASSUMPTION
Based on a conversation with the Department of Social Services (DOS),
Division of Family Services (DFS), a zero fiscal impact was assumed since the
proposal was silent on who would be responsible for reimbursing task force
members. According to DFS, an average meeting costs approximately $750.
This would cover expenses for the private members of the task force as well
as costs for any luncheons provided for all members. The other governmental
agencies would reimburse its' employees, but since all of the meetings have
been held in Jefferson City, the costs would have been minimal. Oversight
assumes that the other governmental agencies involved in the task force would
absorb any costs with existing resources.
FISCAL IMPACT - State Government FY 1997 FY 1998 FY 1999

FISCAL IMPACT - Local Government FY 1997 FY 1998 FY 1999

DESCRIPTION
The proposal would increase the number of foster parents on the Missouri
Foster & Group Home Placement Task Force from two to four. The expiration
date of the task force would be extended until January 1, 1998.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
