HB 1101 | Revisions to Boating Safety Laws |
SCS/HB 1101 - This act makes several changes with regard to
watercraft. The display of a red or orange flag (signaling a
person in the water) is prohibited when the person is being
towed. The use of a personal watercraft (jetski) by young
children prior to September, 1997 is regulated. Permit fees
for floating docks shall be a reasonable charge set by the
permitting entity. Those who operate or position a vessel in
such manner as to obstruct the normal flow of traffic on the
lakes of the state are guilty of an infraction.
