SCS/HB 1537 - This act modifies Chapter 337, RSMo, in the following ways:

1. Psychologists are required to provide proof of compliance with continuing education requirements;

2. The Department of Economic Development, Division of Professional Registration, is authorized to issue provisional professional counselor licenses to certain persons studying to be licensed professional counselors; and

3. A State Committee for Social Workers is created within the Division of Professional Registration. The Committee replaces the Division in Sections 337.600 through 377.649, RSMo, and provides licensing, rulemaking and oversight for Licensed Clinical Social Workers.
