To amend chapter 393, RSMo, relating to gas, electric, water, heating and sewer companies, by adding thereto one new section relating to certain electrical corporations.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

     Section A. Chapter 393, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 393.157, to read as follows:

     393.157. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, any electrical corporation may timely recover all fuel and purchased energy and related costs reasonably and prudently incurred by such corporation in the generation and purchase of electricity and steam, pursuant to rate schedules designed specifically to recover such costs and the commission shall have the authority to approve such rate schedules after hearing. In exercising authority pursuant to this section, the commission shall not be required at the same time to consider other factors which may affect the other costs or the overall rates or other charges of such corporations.
