SB 3 This act authorizes the formation of nonprofit sewer corporations for supplying waste water disposal and treatment services within the state of Missouri.

Such corporations may be formed by five or more persons and the provisions for the corporations' operations can be found within the following sections:

393.825 - Requirements for articles of incorporation 393.827 - Conversion of other entities to nonprofit sewer companies 393.829 - Powers of such companies 393.831 - Amendment of articles of incorporation 393.833 - Change of office location 393.835 - Filing of documents with Secretary of State 393.837 - Securities law shall not apply to bonds of company 393.839 - Membership and meetings 393.841 - Territory may be divided into districts 393.843 - Board of directors 393.845 - Officers 393.847 - Company subject to DNR requirements, not PSC 393.849 - Excess revenues shall be refunded annually to members 393.851 - Company may pay off debt early 393.853 - Dissolution of company which has not begun business 393.855 - Dissolution of company which has begun business 393.857 - Nonprofit sewer company provisions to be construed liberally 393.861 - Members of company not personally liable for debts 393.863 - Designation of exclusive sewer providers- Entities providing sewer service may seek DNR designation as the sole provider for a region or watershed. Applications requirements, approval procedures and general pricing provisions are included.
