This proposal would not have a fiscal impact on small businesses.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal would prohibit anyone from operating a truck with a gross
weight of twelve thousand pounds or less when any person under the age of
thirteen is riding in the open area or bed of the truck. It would prohibit
any person under the age of thirteen from riding in the open area or bed of a
truck. These provisions would only apply when the truck was being operated
on a highway which is part of the state or federal highway system or when
such truck is operated within the corporate limits of any city. Violations
would be an infraction.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
