ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Office of State Courts Administrator, the Department of
Public Safety (Missouri State Highway Patrol, Missouri Capitol Police, and
Missouri State Water Patrol), the Missouri Police Chiefs' Association, and
the Missouri Sheriffs' Association assume the proposed legislation would have
no fiscal impact on their agencies.

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of
this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal would allow retired peace officers and retired judges to carry
concealed weapons. Under current law, only active officers and judges are
allowed to carry concealed weapons.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
