ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Department of Corrections and the Office of the State
Public Defender assume that any costs incurred as a result of the proposed
legislation would be minimal and could be absorbed with existing resources.
Officials from the Office of Prosecution Services, the Missouri Sheriffs'
Association, and the Missouri Police Chiefs' Association assume this proposal
would have no fiscal impact on their agencies.

this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal would make it a Class D felony for a person to knowingly damage
any jail building or jail property.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
