DESCRIPTION
Currently, Section 523.040, RSMo, provides for the appointment of three
commissioners in certain condemnation proceedings. The proposed legislation
would require one commissioner to be a citizen at large, one to be a real
estate broker licensed by the Missouri Real Estate Commission and one to be a
real estate appraiser licensed or certified by the Missouri Real Estate
Appraisers' Commission. The commissioners would have to be residents of the
county in which the real estate under consideration is situated.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
