FISCAL ANALYSIS
ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)
assume the proposal would result in no fiscal impact to DESE or school
districts.
Officials from the St. Louis Public Schools assume the proposal would result
in no savings since the controller prepares the report and would continue to
do so, even with the required reporting change on the buildings.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of
this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
The proposal would change school district reporting requirements from
requiring the average per pupil expenditures for each building in the
district to only requiring the average per pupil expenditure for each
building in the district which has pupils at the same grade level as another
building in the district.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
