Department of Elementary and Secondary Education assume the proposed
legislation would have no fiscal impact on their agencies.

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of
this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
The proposal would provide for due process hearings conducted by school
boards to be exempted from the administrative procedure requirements for
"contested cases" under Chapter 536, RSMo, provided that they have written
procedures to assure due process safeguards exist for such cases. This
exemption is currently provided to institutions of higher education.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
