FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
Small businesses would be affected by this proposal as it provides that
people under the age of 21 may sell alcoholic beverages only if at least 50%
of a store's retail sales are from other than alcoholic beverages and an
employee at least 21 years of age is on the premises. This may require some
businesses to staff their stores in a different manner.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal would allow people under the age of 21 to sell alcoholic
beverages only if at least 50% of a store's retail sales are from other than
alcoholic beverages and an employee at least 21 years of age is on the
premises.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
