ASSUMPTION
Officials of the Missouri Sheriffs' Association, Department of Public
Safety's Peace Officers Standards and Training and the Missouri State Highway
Patrol assume this proposal would have no fiscal impact to their agencies.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of
this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
The proposal would allow reserve police officers appointed on or after August
15, 1988, with prior law enforcement experience, to receive an hour for hour
credit based on past law enforcement experience, in lieu of the training
hours required to be certified by the Peace Officers Standards and Training
Commission.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
