HB 250 -- CORPORATIONS SPONSOR: Graham (106) COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Civil and Administrative Law by a vote of 16 to 0. This bill clarifies that the ruling board of a not-for-profit corporation may be called a "board of curators." Current law uses the terms "a board of trustees, a board of regents or a board of overseers." FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill allows a board of trustees to also be called a board of curators. Testifying for the bill was Representative Graham.
