FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.
HB 319 -- CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITIES CO-SPONSORS: Fritts, Lakin COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Civil and Administrative Law by a vote of 16 to 0. This bill makes every charitable gift annuity issued before August 28, 1996, a "qualified" charitable gift annuity, irrespective of the amount of assets or years of continuous operation required of the organizations issuing such annuities. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill simply recognizes certain charitable gift annuities as qualified charitable gift annuities.
