This bill has an emergency clause. FISCAL NOTE: Net Effect to State Funds is $0 for FY 1998, FY 1999, and FY 2000.
HB 51 -- HUMANITIES TRUST FUND SPONSOR: Shear COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass" by the Committee on Tourism, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs by a vote of 18 to 0. This bill prohibits the transfer of any unexpended balance remaining in the Missouri Humanities Council Trust fund to the credit of the General Revenue Fund. This bill has an emergency clause. FISCAL NOTE: Net Effect to State Funds is $0 for FY 1998, FY 1999, and FY 2000. PROPONENTS: Supporters say this legislation will make a technical correction to legislation that was passed a couple years ago. The intent was to build the trust fund so humanities can fund needed projects. Testifying for the bill were Representative Shear; and the Humanities Council.
