HB 526 -- CAMPAIGN FINANCIAL DISCLOSURES SPONSOR: Koller COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Elections by a vote of 12 to 0. This bill exempts county committees with less than $2,500 dollars of annual activity in their accounts from the requirement to file disclosure reports. This bill contains an emergency clause. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that this bill will help county political party committees that cannot meet current disclosure requirements because they lack adequate records of expenditures and contributions by establishing an exemption from filing.
