SCS HB 63 -- LIQUOR CONTROL

This bill requires certain retail establishments in which 50% of
the gross sales does not consist of nonalcoholic sales to have
an employee 21 years of age or older on the premises during all
hours of operations.

For the purpose of liquor sales by the drink between the hours
of 11:00 a.m. and midnight on Sunday, the term "amusement place"
is expanded to include a dance floor of at least 2,500 hundred
square feet.  The bill also allows wholesalers to sell wine
directly to religious organizations for use in religious
ceremonies.

21 years of age.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that this bill would prevent an 18
year old person from selling liquor in a business without the
supervision of someone over 21 years old.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Griesheimer; and
Missouri Wine and Spirits Wholesalers Association.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
