COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Critical Issues by a vote of 21 to 0.

This bill adds podiatrists to those physicians who may prescribe
a plan of treatment to patients utilizing home health services.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that this bill is necessary to
specify that podiatrists are allowed to prescribe a plan of
treatment for patients utilizing home health services.  The
existing statutes might be interpreted to be inconsistent with
the Department of Health's rules.

Missouri Hospital Association; American Association of Retired
