HB 659 -- COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE FEE SPONSOR: Clayton COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Local Government and Related Matters by a vote of 17 to 0. This bill permits all counties to impose an administrative service fee on any specific purpose capital improvements fund. The fee can be imposed at a rate that will only generate revenue sufficient to recoup actual expenditures. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that this bill helps general revenue funds cover administrative fees for special funds.
