Current law authorizes research grants of up to $20,000 per year
to be awarded by the University of Missouri Board of Curators,
primarily for projects related to the study of Alzheimer's
disease.  This bill increases the maximum award from $20,000 to
$30,000.

and University of Missouri-Columbia.

INTRODUCED

HB 663 -- Research Project Awards

Co-Sponsors:  Stokan, Burton

This bill grants that individual research investigators
performing original investigation on Alzheimer's disease and
related disorders may receive funding awards that do not exceed
$30,000 per year.  These awards must expire at the end of 1 or 2
years. The advisory board appointed by the Board of Curators
determines the time period of the award.
