HB 713 -- DISPOSITION OF A STILLBORN CHILD SPONSOR: Davis (63) COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Consumer Protection by a vote of 14 to 0. This bill sets forth disposition regulations when a child has been born dead. Violations of these provisions is a misdemeanor. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill provides guidance to hospitals and funeral homes and that it codifies the current practice.
