PROPONENTS: Supporters say that institutions of higher education have built solar power vehicles for competition and have found it difficult to license the vehicles to operate on the highway because such vehicles are not equipped with the required safety equipment. Testifying for the bill were Representative McBride; and University of Missouri. OPPONENTS: No opposition was voiced to the committee. Robert Triplett, Research Analyst
