COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Motor Vehicle and Traffic Regulations by a vote of 12 to 0.
This bill requires that when the Director of Revenue notifies
the Department of Health of information obtained from applicants
who indicate they are interested in making an organ donation,
the Department of Health must enter the date of birth, race,
gender, and unique personal identifier in addition to entering
the person's names and address.
FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.
PROPONENTS: Supporters say that such legislation will help
positively identify those people who have agreed to be donors.
Testifying for the bill were Representative Stoll; and Missouri
Department of Health.
OPPONENTS: No opposition was voiced to the committee.
