ASSUMPTION
Oversight assumes the proposal would allow additional counties to form
lake-area business districts. Oversight also assumes there would be an
unknown loss of revenues to counties currently collecting taxes from
religious operated facilities.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
This proposal is expected to have an impact on small businesses in lake-area
business districts.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal expands the counties eligible to form a lake-area business
district. The proposal exempts property operated by recognized churches or
their affiliates from any tax authorized by this section.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
