SCS/HB 394 - This act contains provisions for "year of manufacture" license plates and motor vehicle sales tax.

LICENSE PLATES - Any license plate issued prior to 1979, which is used as the license plate for a vehicle of that model year, shall be an exempted from the common color scheme and design required for all other plates.

SALES TAX ON VEHICLES - In determining sales tax on a purchased motor vehicle or boat, credit for a trade-in may only be given for another vehicle or boat. Transfers of vehicles and vessels within divisions of a leasing company which is also a dealer shall not be subject to sales or use tax.
