SB 21 - This act adds Texas County and municipalities within

Texas County to the list of political subdivisions authorized to

impose a sales tax to be used solely for economic development

purposes. The maximum sales tax rate for counties is one percent

while the maximum sales tax rate for municipalities is one-half

of one percent.

This act has an emergency clause.
