SB 184 - The act amends Chapter 431, RSMo, relating to contracts. Current law requires that payments for private construction be made pursuant to a contract and a person who is not paid may bring an action in circuit court. This act defines "person" to include an owner, contractor, subcontractor, material supplier, construction manager, architect, professional engineer or land surveyor. This act does not cover construction work on owner-occupied residential property of four units or less.
