SB 193 - With this act, the state of Missouri expressly opts out of interstate branch banking. It prohibits mergers with out- of-state banks, establishment or acquisition of a new branch bank outside Missouri by a Missouri bank, or the establishment of a branch of an out-of-state bank in Missouri. The provisions of this bill shall terminate on August 28, 2000.
