- Introduced -

SB 222 - This act makes changes to the Missouri State Employees Retirement System (MOSERS).

This act allows MOSERS' state employees, administrative law judges (ALJs) and judicial plan members to receive a new COLA after they reach the 65% maximum under the current COLA. Persons at the maximum already begin receiving the benefit on September 1, 1997, and not retroactively.

An unreduced Joint & 50% survivor option is added for general employees (including the Department of Conservation) and retroactively for retired members on or after October 1, 1984, and pop-ups.

For the 60 & 120-month options, lump sum payments are allowed at the present value of remaining payments to a beneficiary's estate.
