SB 237 - This act transfers the State Milk Board statutory authority from a Department of Health chapter to a Department of Agriculture chapter. All of the repealed sections from Chapter 196, RSMo, are reenacted in Chapter 261, RSMo, except for section 196.943 relating to the appointment of the first board.

The Department of Health is removed as the official rating agency. The Department of Agriculture shall set the standards for acceptable ratings and the methods for making surveys. The State Milk Board shall be the official rating agency for milk inspections, and the inspections shall be made at least biannually.
