SB 281 - This act creates the Missouri Task Force on the Needs of Children of Incarcerated Parents. The task force shall consist of twelve members, including a Senator, Representative, judge, and representatives from child welfare agencies.

The task force shall evaluate current policies, particularly those relating to child custody and visitation of incarcerated parents, and formulate specific legislation to address the needs of children of incarcerated parents.

The task force shall report its findings to the Legislature by December 1, 1998. The task force shall also study the impact of alternative sentencing on the children of incarcerated parents and issue a report on this issue by December 1, 2001.
