SB 341 - Members of the National Guard may be awarded a scholarship which exempts them from tuition at a Missouri institution of higher learning. Members must have had at least one years' service and must remain in the National Guard for at least three years after the completion of a course of study.
Any person who served in a war or military conflict or certain expeditions shall not be charged incidental fees or tuition at a college, university or community college unless the person is receiving federal educational assistance as a result of such service.
A college or university or community college may waive tuition for children of Missouri residents who were killed in the line of duty or died as a result of injury or disease or disability incurred while in the military service. Such expenses may also be waived for the spouse and children of those declared by the Secretary of State to be missing (including civilians) in Southeast Asia.
