SS/SB 478 - This act allows probation and parole officers and supervisors and members of the Board of Probation and Parole to carry firearms at all times. Mere possession of a firearm shall not constitute an employment activity for the purpose of calculating compensatory time or overtime.
The Department of Corrections shall promulgate policies
governing the use of firearms when officers, supervisors and
members of the Board are carrying out their duties.
