SCS/SB 571 - This act amends various statutes concerning public records to allow such records to be maintained by electronic means according to standards developed by the State Records Commission and the Local Records Board.
Additionally, the act amends conduct constituting the crime
of tampering with a public record to include a public officer
failing to deliver records to the officer's successor and a
private person refusing to deliver records pertaining to a public
office.
