SB 588 - This act pertains to state aid for sheltered
workshops. Current law, as enacted in SB 264 from 1997, provides
for reimbursement of eleven dollars per day for fiscal year 1998,
increasing to twelve dollars per day for fiscal year 1999 and
thirteen dollars per day for fiscal year 2001 and thereafter.
However, the state aid reimbursement for fiscal year 2000 is not
specified. The act provides that the reimbursement rate of
thirteen dollars per day shall begin for fiscal year 2000, not
fiscal year 2001.
