SB 638 - This act requires a public vote for the adoption of
a building code in first and second class counties. No other
counties have authority to implement a building code. Voters in
a municipality which already has a building code shall not vote
on the proposal. This act does not require that revisions to an
existing building code be subject to a public vote.
