SB 734 - This act allows the Health Educational Facilities Authority (changed to the Health, Educational and Cultural Facilities Authority in the act) to issue bonds for cultural facilities which are operated by or for a Missouri cultural institution. Both terms are defined in detail appropriate for this chapter.
The act authorizes the issuance of bonds for health, educational and cultural facilities that are not located in Missouri if they are owned by a Missouri political subdivision. The Authority can cooperate with other states and governmental entities within those states to enable those entities to issue bonds, including private activity bonds, and notes for facilities located in Missouri.
The act has an emergency clause. This act is similar to HB
966 and similar provisions are contained in Truly Agreed to and
Finally Passed SS/SCS/HS/HCS/HB 971.
